Real Drive is the latest anime project coming from Production I.G and creator Shirow Masamune (Ghost in the Shell, Ghost Hound). It's a "neo-futuristic sci-fi suspense" story taking place in 2061 A.D., about a cyber diver, Masamichi Haru, who investigates the incidents and aberrations that lie between Reality and the Metal - or "Meta Real Network", a more secure network realm that was supposed to replace the aging and problematic Network society.
