First Squad: The Moment of Truth is an anime series created by the Russian-Canadian animation company Molot Entertainment and Japan's Studio 4°C. The story is set in 1942, the third year of World War II, at a time when continental Europe lies in ruins, enslaved by the Nazis. But in the East, in Russia, the Red Army is putting up a violent resistance to the legions of the Third Reich. A group of Soviet teenagers with extraordinary abilities have been drafted to form a special unit and fight the invading German army.
