The anime film Eiga Smile Precure! is as usual created by Toei Animation, as the 13th movie in the Pretty Cure magical girls franchise - following the Precure All Stars New Stage anime film from March 2012. The new magical girl team includes Cure Happy / Miyuki Hoshizora (red), Cure Sunny / Akane Hino (orange), Cure Peace / Yayoi Kise (yellow), Cure March / Nao Midorikawa (green), and Cure Beauty / Reika Aoki (blue). The movie transports the Precure magical girls into a world inside a picture book, where they are guided by Niko, a mysterious inhabitant of the picture book world.
